start up- smart up

Hello, it’s me. I am Larissa, 21, and I recently started working as a working student at alugha. In the middle of Mannheim and, even better, directly in front of the beautiful Water Tower, I spend some time of the week at alugha. If I am not here or enjoying my free time, I am sitting in the magic castle of Mannheim where I am majoring in media and communication studies and minoring in German studies.

Make the most out of your App!

Struggling through the App-jungle? No wonder, with more than 1 million Apps on Google Playstore and 900.000 Apps in the Aple Store. The competition is big, at least there are enough good offers! How to make your App outstanding? Here you get answers!

Your App isn’t really successful? Of course, a good placement in the App store, a detailed description of the functions and the use as well as good pictures are really important in order to increase the distribution of the App even further. Picky users are not convinced that easily. There is more needed to get them to buy or download the App. Crucial for gaining the user’s interest are mainly detailed and positive appraisals which give an overview about the do’s and dont’s of the App. Often features and functions are insufficiently explained. And also the small images which are meant to show clearly what it’s all about are not really helpful. Bored endconsumers are the result. Your App is only one of a number of grey mice in the App-jungle.

Startup jungle: top or flop?

Every year tones  of startups conquer the international market. The enthusiasm is still unbroken. But how many of these young companies really create the big hit and stay in big business?  The balance is unfortunately  poorly.

Our startup is doing  well, knock on wood! But how is it going with the other startups? Indeed the international market is flooded by various  young companies. However there a just a few companies which survive the jungle of ideas. But what’s the reason for that? Sure, if your hear the word startup, you think about young, cool people who are sitting in a super cool loft in middle of Berlin. Bright rooms, smart heads and a lot of technical gadgets, thats the picture candidates have in mind. Often the reality is  a bit different. Internal arguments  are often the reason for failure. Often the lack of innovation or competitive business ideas reduces the success and this leads to not generating new funding.
