Release “Berndout”

The time has come! Our film, made and produced by Arthur Rewak as director, Bernd Korz as leading part, and many more people, is finally getting released for you! The film is not only the first production with this line-up, but it also immediately won the audience award at the BermudaShorts short-film festival in Mannheim. We’re more than proud of it and happy to finally share it with you!

In a nutshell

This is where our series of showing you some producers of explainer videos on YouTube goes on. Today, we’d like to acquaint you with Kurzgesagt (in a nutshell).

If you’re interested in our opinion of them, click here:

Hard Facts:

The YouTube channel was established in Munich and deals with designing and animating videos, and covers the areas of education, science and commerce. Apart from that, interaction and music are an additional part of their work. Founded in 2013, the channel already counts more than two million subscribers and 40 videos. After not even three years, Kurzgesagt has cooperated with big brands like Microsoft, Audi or Siemens. With a minimalist and colorful design, the channel stays in mind. You cannot only visit them on their website but also in numerous social networks. So they try to explain the world to you – everywhere! To make a long story short – we have a lot in common with them 😉

1st movie, 1st festival, 1st price – About the development of “Berndout”

Who hasn’t sometimes imagined how it would be to shoot a movie and to be able to decide oneself how the story is going to develop? Arthur Rewak and our CEO/CVO Bernd Korz also had this dream… and they realized it without hesitation during a stay in the US in May. The result was the alugha-produced short movie of 10 minutes “Berndout” which premiered at the international short film festival BermudaShorts in Mannheim five weeks ago – and it directly won the audience award.

Las Vegas Collision Conf 2015 – Roundup

It were really two crazy, smashing, exciting but also exhausting days for us in Las Vegas. After our arrival (our previous news with video) we started the crunch time. It wasn’t an easy decision whether to take on all those exertions and if spending the time and effort will be worth while. But as always in life, at the right place to the right time and all doubts are gone.

Collision Conf ’15 Las Vegas – the arrival

After the WebSummit in Dublin / Ireland, the WolvesSummit in Gdynia / Poland this is now the next StartUp exhibition of this series we are participating. It takes place in smashing Las Vegas in the Nevada desert and therefore it was a long journey for us. It took nearly 24 hours door to hotel door, accordingly we were really whacked. Despite being awake for 24 hrs, sleeping worked brilliantly and eyes were shut by 10pm (Las Vegas time – 7am Monday morning in Germany).

Amsterdam beyond cheese and tulips – 2 days the melting pot of the startup scene

No chance to recover from the WOLVES SUMMIT in Poland, the alugha team was again travelling last week. This time The Next Web Conference (TNW) in Amsterdam on the 23rd & 24th of April was our destination. Our CEO Bernd Korz and our CTO Ithamar Adema, based in Amsterdam, were there. The 10th TNW is one of the most important international technology conferences where the world’s masterminds of the technology industrie and start ups are meeting up. With more than 3.500 participants it’s one of the biggest events of its type in Europe. Since we didn’t attend any pitches this time but exhibiting on our booth, the both probably thought they had two relaxing days in front of them – but they were mistaken.
